Our Story

In 1988, Cornerstone Fellowship Church of God was established in the Fox Hill community of Hampton, Virginia. In 2018, the congregation relocated to LaSalle Avenue and entered a new season with a renewed vision and a new name Greater Discipleship Center. This transition marked more than a change of location; it reflected a deeper calling to build disciples and rebuild lives. Our desire is that when people hear the name Greater Discipleship Center, they understand our heart.

Our Vision

To build disciples and rebuild lives through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

The Three Arrows That Guide Us

As we prayed for God’s direction, He placed three clear areas on our hearts, three arrows that point the way forward for Greater Discipleship Center: Discipleship, the Next Generation, and Benevolence.

Discipleship – Helping believers grow into mature followers of Christ who live out their faith daily.
The Next Generation – Investing in children, youth, and young adults so they may know Jesus and lead with faith and purpose.
Benevolence – Extending the love of Christ beyond our walls by meeting practical needs and walking alongside those who are hurting.

Together, these three arrows form the foundation of our calling to build disciples, rebuild lives, and bring hope to our community.
