GDC COUNSELING MINISTRY

To assist with the spiritual, mental, and emotional development of the body of Christ. Our goal is to ensure that those in the church and those who seek services will be well equipped to handle those tough situations that may come your way, while know the foundational principle of who God says they are. It is our goal to reach a hurting community suffering with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem/worth and a mired of emotional and spiritual struggles. Our prayer is to be able to walk alongside those struggles to show them the love of God and teach them what He says about them in the process. It is also our mission to teach and train prospective helpers to assist in this ministry.

Scripture references:

  • 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:11 So then, encourage one another and build each other up, as you are doing.
